Alfred J. Alvarez, M.D.

Dr. Alvarez trained at the Booth Memorial Hospital, in Flushing New York, where he completed his internship in Internal Medicine and then trained at Montefiore Hospital at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and New York University where he completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease.

Following completion of his post-graduate training, Dr. Alvarez became one of the founding partners of Cardiology Associates of Fort Lauderdale while also serving as Chief of Cardiology at North Ridge General Hospital as well as Humana Hospital Cypress

Dr. Alvarez is Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is a member of various professional organizations and is presently a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Alvarez has published medical papers in peer-review journals with special emphasis on Sudden Cardiac Death and Left Ventricular Aneurysms. He has received several achievement awards and has been recognized by various institutions

His areas of interest include clinical and general cardiology, Dr. Alvarez was born and raised in Buenos Aires. He has been a Florida resident since 1973. Dr. Alvarez is married with 2 children and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
